How to avoid broken brackets and pokey wires during the Halloween Season
October is the National Orthodontic Health Month. This year we wanted to raise awareness about the breakage that is done to the braces during the Halloween season. While we don’t want to take away the fun from children, we definitely want to encourage them to avoid sticky, chewy and crunchy candy. Breaking the brackets or wires can delay the ortho treatment and can sometimes get uncomfortable.
On our Pinterest page we shared delicious braces friendly recipes that are easy to make, braces friendly and Halloween themed spooky delights such as: Brain Cookies, Frightful Finger Cookies, Graveyard Shake, Spider Bites and more.

Our office will be closed on Wednesday, October 31st. We’ll be out trick or treating. In case of an emergency please call our office and we will accommodate your visit. If a wire is poking use some of the wax from your braces kit.
Happy Halloween,
Team Kaplin
